Pavilion Features - Expo 2010 Shanghai China, Eritrea Pavilion
In the pavilion, Expo 2010 Shanghai China, Eritrea Pavilion, the harmonious urban development of Eritrea will be showcased in the following four aspects: social harmony, social justice, environmental protection, and conservation and use of historical heritage. The philosophy and development of urbanization in Eritrea will be displayed by means of posters, slideshows, short films, historical remains, relics, artworks and architecture models.
Highlight 1: Wonderful Life in the Greater Asmara Area
Asmara, which means 'city of balance', is a beautiful, tranquilized and safe city with rich cultural heritage. The pavilion , Expo 2010 Shanghai China, Eritrea Pavilion,is to showcase the progress Asmara and its satellite urban areas have made in infrastructure and social services. Visitors will get to know Asmara’s rich cultural heritage including Byzantine and Islamic culture and the architectures featuring modern decorative art.
Highlight 2: Balance between Humanity and Nature
The pavilion, Expo 2010 Shanghai China, Eritrea Pavilion, showcases in addition Eritrea’s beautiful landscape, measures on environmental improvement, archaeological discoveries, restoration of old railways, and diversified marine life. Eritrea’s advanced technology in environmental protection and its relaxing, harmonious rural life will also be presented to the visitors

The 7th World Exposition : Expo 2010 Shanghai China - The Expo2010 emblem, depicting the image of three people-you, me, him/her holding hands together, symbolizes the big family of mankind. Inspired by the shape of the Chinese character" δΈ–"(meaning the world), the design conveys the organizers' wish to host an Expo which is of global scale and which showcases the diversified urban cultures of the world.
The Expo2010 Mascot, The 7th World Exposition : Expo 2010 Shanghai China, created from a Chinese character meaning people, the mascot "Haibao" embodies the character of Chinese culture.
