The pavilion, Mongolia Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai China, depicts a grassland civilization in urban development and manifests various elements of the grassland culture with unique exhibition items. The floor consisting of three kinds of sand manifests the Inner Mongolian people's wisdom; the contrast between the earliest nomadic habitation and modern cities shows the course of grassland city development in history; the huge tree of quicksand implies environmental changes and expresses the ideal of turning deserts into oases. Visitors can also have a virtual grassland journey on mountain bikes
